Murat Vargı is an international businessman who built his wealth in the telecommunications industry as the founder of Turkcell, which went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2000. He is also actively involved in private equity investments through his diversified holding company. Vargı studied Trade Promotion and International Marketing at the Helsinki School of Economics and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and holds a degree from the Faculty of Economics at Ankara University. Beyond business, his social interests include philanthropy, the arts, gardening, and yachting.
